Lancaster for the Weekend
Rob headed to Lancaster on Friday around three o'clock so that he could attend a wrestling event. I went up later with roddy due to not have enough leave yet to just take off when I want to. Roddy and I left around 5:15 and he whined the ENTIRE way!!!!! Well it was more of on and off spurts but it was annoying. Any tips on how to travel with a dog is appreciated. So we made it to the house and my awesome mother in law told me rob had called and said there was only ten people at the event. Not good. I went and picked up chicfila for supper and then sat around with my mil. Roddy adores her and loves all the attention he gets. Spoiled is his middle name. We watched say yes to the dress and then we were ready for bed so she took the dogs out and rob walked in. I still went to bed but he did tell me that the show was good and they would be having another one in February so we would come back for that one too.
Saturday we were lazy, well I was lazy, and slept til about 9:30. I got up, had grits and toast...yum, for breakfast, then for dressed for the day. We decided to go to Catawba fish camp for lupper.I ate myself into a food coma. That food is delicious!!!! We then went home and I took a long nap, not sure what the others did. I did wake up and eat a small snack but then it was time to go to bed again.
Sunday, we went to Catawba for church. It was nice to see everyone there again. I especially love how everyone greets you. That is what I find in small country churches, people greet you with a smile and a handshake. Its not just people at the door either, its everyone in the church. We were greeted by Stacey Kirkley :O) After church we went to the new hibachi restaurant. MIL had never been and doesnt go to restaurants outside the norm so we went. It was pretty good. The service was somewhat slow but it was good. I hope they last longer than other restaurants have but who knows in this economy. After eating, Rob and I headed back to Orangeburg. We got home, unpacked and then went to bed.
Oh the life of the Truesdales is so intriguing. We eat, sleep, and travel. Life is Grand!!

First WW Meeting of Year
Tonight was the first meeting of the year. I decided not to weigth tonight but to buy my new pass and start fresh. Since Christmas and gmas passing I have not been tracking or exercising so I opted to chicken out of this weigh in. While I was there though I noticed a ton of new people and the room was full. Its like this every year though at new years because its resolution time. If all the people who were there tonight would stick with it it would be great but half will stop by march, sad but true. I am on the bandwgon to lose my final thirty. I want to lose ten by the end of April.....that is my first mini goal of the year.
I also want to get involved in more walks so if you know of any send them my way!!!!
Happy Resolution time!!!!

Back on Track!!!
So the past couple weeks have been a little tough for me to stay on track with eating and exercising. I am committed to getting the last thirty to forty pounds off to get to my goal weight. I am trying to eat well and track now that I am back home. Drinking water is my goal this month. I love my diet drinks and need to cut them out but its so hard.
I am not weighing this week but will be going to the meeting to get my new pass and to be energized. I know I gained and I want to work hard to get it off and will face the scale next week.
Fingers crossed I will get out of my bed in the mornings to go exercise but this cold weather is beating me up.
Time to get moving!!!

Happy New Year!!!
After church we went to eat our wonderful meal. It was time for fried pork chops, black eyed peas, collards, rice and gravy, and hog jowl!!! YUM!!!
After eating we all had naps and then it was time for me to head to Orangeburg to get ready for the next week. I went by bubbas to tell him I love him and to let him know we were going down the road. He told me to be careful. I told him I loved him and kissed him on his forehead like always.
I know he will be taken care of by my family but I will still worry about him.
Love him!

My 2012 Resolutions
Wow, I can't believe that its already a new year. So much has gone on this year, good and bad, happy and sad. I am ready to start the new year though. Lots planned in my head and hoping it all works out. So what are my plans (resolutions) this year.....
* continue my journey to a healthy me, wanting to lose about thirty more pounds and MAINTAIN!!!!
* be more involved at church!!!!!
* clean out my storage unit at mom and dads house-----YARDSALE!!!!!!!
* pay off my car---3 more months!!!!!
* start the process of house hunting, this is a wonderful feat we are wanting to take on and hopefully we will find what we want....not going to rush it though!
* go on several small trips during the year--gatlinburg, world of coke, cabbage patch nursery etc.
* spend more time with family
*call family more to check in
* send more cards and complete random acts of kindness when I am able
* last but no least, we are hoping to start a family later this year---this will be exciting too but we are not wanting to rush into this either because we want to make sure we are ready and a tiny bit prepared.
So see that's not too much, right???
Seriously though I am excited to see what this year has in store for us and if all the above happens it will be fantastic!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

My Gma
On Wednesday, December 28, heaven gained a sweet, sweet angel. My grandmother has been battling nonalcoholic cirrohsis of the liver for almost a year. She has been through so much this past year from falling and breaking her hip to numerous hospital stays. She had so many people who touched her life but she also touched so many. She wanted to be home when she passed away and grandaddy made sure he kept that promise. GMa spent christmas eve in her hospital bed but heard all of her children in the kitchen talking and laughing, plus visiting with her in the room. We all made sure we told her how much we loved her and gave her kisses. On Christmas day Rob and and I went to Lancaster to celebrate with his family. We went by GMa and Bubbas before going there to pick up the camera case. I went into her room and told her Merry Christmas. She grunted back to me and then I said I love you GMa and SHE SAID IT BACK!!!! Bubba was in there to hear it too. That was the last time I heard my gma talk to me or anyone. I was and still am so happy we stopped by. Gmas boys stayed with her Tuesday night because the hospice nurse had said gma only has twenty four to forty eight hours to go here on earth. On Wednesday at 5:00am she met Jesus!!!!!
Friends and family have been so amazing the past few days and we are so honored to know how loved Gma is. We have had tons of food, cards, phone calls, and visits. On Thursday, we had the visitation. We met at the funeral home at five to start at six but people came early. So at 5:15 we started greeting people. It lasted til 9:00. So many people and so much love. Over 500 people are thought to have come through. It was hard to see Bubba saying goodbye to GMa and I broke down and had to leave the room. We all went home and ate supper then got some sleep for the next day.
I decided that on the morning of Friday I wanted to go to the funeral home and talk to Gma alone. I talked with her for about twenty minutes through tears. I needed to do this so that I could say my goodbye. I know she is in heaven and I am happy for her but so sad that she is not here with me.
Friday, December 30 was the funeral. Preacher Doug, Dennis, Chip and Loretta did a great job in speaking and music. I had a hard time again today. Lots of tears, some of joy and sadness. I will never get use to seeing MOAK in the graveyard. We all spent the evening together and each night someone has stayed with Bubba.
I will forever miss my gma. She is my after school mom, tent making buddy, Debbie cake giver, and a best friend. I will always remember doing my cheers for her after school, making a tent in the living room and she not complain one time about my mess, being the only grand child she popped on the hand for going in and out of clothes racks, and much much more!!!
Oh my Gma, how I miss you more than words can express. I love you and I will see you again soon.
I love you!!!
