Bacon
Waffles
Eggs
Banana Bread Pudding
Fried Fish
Twix Ice Cream Bar
Nachos
Mocha Rockuccino
Krispy Kreme
That is just a small sampling of what I ate last week while on vacation. Yes I did indulge in the awesomeness of sweets as well that were provided by my family. I did not hold back, trust me.
Weigh In was today and I had given myself a 2 to 5 pound gain window since we had vacation. I was not going to get mad or pout about it b/c I know what I ate and I enjoyed it too!
So I jumped up on the scale and BAM! It broke!!! Just kidding!!! I had gained 2.4 pounds. I was actually pretty happy that I was on the lower end of what I had allowed myself to gain. So the good part, only 3.2 pounds to go to hit 50 pounds!!! Who is excited?!?! ME!!!!
So next week there is no weigh in due to the holiday but I will be weighing in at home.
A tip I got today from the meeting was to make a “zero” points bag and take it with you on the trips you take. Fill it will fruits and veggies, water, etc. that are ZERO points so that you won’t be tempted to get a candy bar while on the road!!
Losing is Fun!

the girls have never felt better :O)
So just FYI this post will give you too much info about me but I think its funny. So here it goes...
A couple weeks ago mom and I went to Cato for a little retail therapy. While we were trying on clothing she noticed my bra was too big and so she poked it. Yes when she poked the bra it literally went in two inches b/c there was nothing there to stop her poking. So needless to say she got a huge laugh out of that.
So this past week at the beach, mom told me she would like to get me some new bras. So I headed to Lane Bryant, my fav place to shop, where they were having a buy two and get two free sale on the bras. They several different types of bras and I needed to be fitted again since my weight loss has made the "girls" a little smaller. I was wearing a 44C bra but once I was fitted i now know I am supposed to be wearing a 42B. Yes that is right folks, I have lost a CUP size and also two inches..WAHOO!!!! Lets just say the girls feel wonderful in the new bras.
So now you all know way to much about my "girls" but also the importance of a bra that fits you well.
Enjoy the Day!!!:O)

Myrtle Beach Vacation!!! :O)
Every year, my family goes to Pirateland for our vacation. This year was the same--well almost. This is going to be a LONG post so here goes nothing....
Saturday June 18th-
We left Oburg and headed towards the beach. First though we stopped in Florence for Amanda's Thirty One Party. This was a win win for me b/c I got to order a super cute thermal tote and utility tote but also got to visit with Amanda, Brad, and Jennifer!!! :O) After the party Rob and I went to get Chinese b/c its a must each time we are in Florence. After eating it was my turn to drive to the beach. Mom and Dad were already there and had made it safely, there was one tire blow out in the caravan but it was taken care of. The drive to the beach wasn't too bad UNTIL we got on 544 and about five miles from Kings Highway. It took us at least FORTY FIVE minutes to get to the camp ground when it should have taken about 15 at the most. Once we got to the camp ground we unloaded the car and just rested. G-ma was excited to be at the beach with everyone and she looked good. We had chicken salad sandwiches for supper and Rob and I went swimming. It was nice to just spend time, the two of us, playing in the water and acting like little kids again!
Sunday, June 19th-
Rob and I didn't make it to church service on Sunday at the camp ground chapel. We did however make it to breakfast. We had grits, eggs, bacon...you name it, we had it, and it was delicious. I decided to look at the schedule at Pirateland that they give you when you check in. I noticed that there was a Putt Putt Challenge from 11am to 3pm at the camp ground and that the lowest score wins. So Rob and I decided to play and this would be our practice round for the Annual Putt Putt Truesdale Championship. We did eat lunch before we went which consisted of more chicken salad for me b/c i love my g-ma's chicken salad :O) After eating we headed to the putt putt course and played. It was hot but we had water with us and played. I didn't fair to well on the first hole--took me four stokes-- but in the end Rob beat me by one. I did have two holes in one this round. After playing we headed back to the camper and rested. Rob fell asleep and then I did but was soon wakened by the rain on the tin roof of the camper. Rob didn't wake up but I did and it was LOUD, soothing, but loud. After the rain, I feel asleep again and then Rob woke up. Once we both woke up, we watched the College World Series game that was USC and Texas A&M. After the game it was time for some sleep :O)
Monday, June 20th--
Today I woke up to a text message from my mom during the night that said my g-ma was taken to the hospital during the night and they didn't get home til 5am. G-ma was kept at the hospital and that granddaddy was going back this morning along with my daddy and uncles. Rob and I had decided we were going to go see her while we were out and about today. We headed to North Myrtle Beach today. We went to Barefoot Landing to do some shopping. We picked up some taffy, a T ornament, and then went to House of Blue for our wonderful lunch. I love going to HOB b/c they have a appetizer of catfish and sweet potato fries with spicy tartar sauce. Its so GOOD!!! I was stuffed after eating it but I was going to have dessert as well. We got the Banana Bread Pudding, aka WOW bread puddin'. Oh it was amazing and well worth EVERY calorie. After Barefoot we headed to the mall and the Bass Pro Shop. We walked around a bit, I bought an owl necklace, and then headed to Tanger Outlets. While we were there mom had sent us a pic of g-ma and told us she was looking better. At Tanger, I bought two shirts at Old Navy and that was it. We did look at a few more stores but that was it. While we were leaving, mom sent another message to me stating I needed to get to the hospital. We were very close by so we headed on over. Once we got there dad told me that g-ma had gone out for a few minutes and that things were touch and go. G-ma was being put into an ICU type of unit and that she will be monitored. I did go into the room but G-ma was kind of out of it. They moved her to a new room and we waited to see her. Once she was moved and stable she was the same old G-ma. She was joking around and was telling us how she just felt bad a few minutes ago but she is feeling better now. We stayed at the hospital for a few hours and g-ma was improving. We went and played out first round of putt putt for the championship at Jungle Safari. Rob beat me by one. It was very humid and we were sweating like crazy but we wanted to check on g-ma again before we headed back to the camp ground. She was still doing ok so we headed out. Dad stayed with g-ma at the hospital for the night.
Tuesday, June 21st--
Woke up this morning and was told that my mom had gotten stuck in the bathroom last night and that she was calling people to help her get out. Patty and Wayne took the door handle to get her out. I laughed for a long time about this one. After breakfast, Rob and I went to Medieval Times to get our tickets for the show tonight. After getting the tickets, we headed to see g-ma b/c we had been told she was improving still!! :O) We got to the hospital and g-ma was eating breakfast and was in good spirits. She was feeling good. She laughed when I told her about mom. I took her some pound cake, her glasses, and also her favorite crackers. After visiting with g-ma we were told she would be moving to a regular room this afternoon after she had a pic lone placed. G-ma got her lunch so Rob and I headed out to Broadway for more shopping. We headed to the Tanger Outlets on Hwy 501. Rob bought two shirts at Casual Male, I got a white dress--it is super cute, and we had ice cream from the Fudgery--Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in a waffle cone!! After the outlets we decided to look for a Wachiovia...this took about thirty minutes but we found one! We then went back to the camp ground, got cleaned up and headed out to Medieval Times!! We enjoyed the dinner and show. As always it was fantastic. We did get to cheer for the blue night instead of the green...he was an ok knight! After the dinner show we headed back to the camper ground and watched some more baseball....the Gamecocks did awesome against Virginia. Then it was off to bed for this sleeping beauty!
Wednesday, June 22nd--
This morning was a hat wearing kind of morning. We popped out of bed and went to eat breakfast with the family again.....more of the good stuff, bacon, sausage, grits. YUM! After eating Rob and I headed to the outdoor and indoor flea markets. We went to the outdoor first b/c it was early morning and soon it would be getting really hot. We bought a palmetto tree flag. We walked around the entire market and then headed to the indoor one. At the indoor flea market we bought some pecans--YUM! and some dips. We love the low country dips at the flea market--just add sour cream and mayo. While walking around the indoor flea market, we walked by an incense table. We over heard the sales lady state to an African American woman " do you smell that? its the essence of Barack Obama"...I laughed HYSTERICALLY inside my head!!! Did this sales lady really think that smell was of the president, I think not but good try. We went back to the camper and took our showers before heading to the Coastal Grand mall. At the mall, I got some new bras!!! Wahoo, the girls are happy! While trying them on mom called and said G-ma was asking when we were coming to see her, so off we went to see her. G-ma was in her new room, a normal room, and she was excited b/c she might get out tomorrow! She was so excited and showed us how she was standing using her walker and she was eating a lot more too. We visited for a while, then went to eat at Longhorn with mom, dad, Patty, and Wayne. We enjoyed supper but then it was time for round two of putt putt. We decided on a place called Capt'n Hooks. We took the challenging course and it was neck and neck until Hole 16--this is where my demise began. I just couldn't get the stupid ball into the cup---UGH!!! So needless to say Rob won this year. I pouted the ENTIRE way back to the camper which was about thirty minutes or so--SILENCE!!! Rob was giggling inside and told me this later. We got back to the camper, yes I was still pouting but it does finally end at some point. :O)
Thursday, June 23rd--
We had waffles and bacon for breakfast---again it was a breakfast for champions! Rob and I headed out to Broadway for some shopping and to main goal was to get a Rockuccino from the KISS coffeehouse. We first stopped at a sports place and Rob got a USC metal cut out. It is perfect for his man room. Next up, Pepper Palace. Pepper Palace has great salsa, cheese dips, butters, and anything else you can think of. We tasted some new things they had like candied jalapenos, sweet potato butter, and key lime mustard sauce. I bought some cheese dip, sweet potato butter and the key lime sauce. YUM-O! Next up was KISS Coffeehouse. We of course ordered a Rockuccino, mine was mocha and Rob got caramel--we added vanilla ice cream to it. They were very cold and refreshing. We went to River Street Sweets and picked up some pralines for Patty B. Then it was off to Eat at Joes! Rob has never been so it was new to him and the food was excellent. We had some calamari, hot crab dip, and hot fire balls, fish and chips, crab cake and lobster stuffed shrimp....happy bellies!!! Rob got any early b-day present too, a USC turvis tumbler :O) After getting a little red on my shoulders, we headed back to the camp ground. It started raining so we thought we might have to cancel our trip to the Boardwalk but it did let up. We saw G-ma before we headed out and she looked happy to be back.....i was happy she was back too! We ate supper with the family, grilled chicken, salad, and raw fries. We ate and our bellies were happy. We then headed to the boardwalk. We walked the entire 14 blocks. We saw the SkyWheel and it was pretty awesome. HUGE and colorful. We enjoyed the walk and rewarded ourselves with Krispy Kreme. An assorted dozen was bought and will be enjoyed! We took that dozen to the camper with us. At the store, I had a regular one and Rob had a raspberry filled one. We then headed back to the camp ground because it was almost midnight and the gate locks then--we did have to ride the golf cart in the rain :O)
Friday, June 24th--
Today EVERYONE was at breakfast and we had waffles, sausage, and bacon--AGAIN!! G-ma looks fantastic and she was eating more today. She also drank orange juice and coffee. She was excited b/c she was going to the flea market today, pottery shop, and who knows where. Rob and I met up with my friend Leslie and her daughter Annabelle for lunch at the Coastal Grand Mall. It was nice to just catch up and to meet her beautiful daughter. We walked down the mall and Rob bought a game at game stop. After departing the mall we went for another Rockuccino at the KISS coffeehouse! Yes they are that good! Then it was back to the camp ground. We decided to FINALLY go look at the ocean around 5ish or so. We took some pics but it was very windy. There were shells everywhere and it was more like shell sand than sand. Rob enjoyed standing in the ocean, I am not a huge fan b/c I cant see what is around my feet--SHARKS, JELLY FISH, etc. After enjoying the ocean, we went swimming!!! Oh we love to swim. We also got in the lazy river for a few rounds. To end the night, we had nachos and twix ice cream--usually we have snickers but we decided to switch it up a bit. Then it was time to watch more USC baseball. This game was a nail biter and stressful. But we stayed up through the entire game. I was packing during the commericals and trying to get everything together since this was our last night.
Today, Saturday, June 25th--
We loaded up the car and headed back to Orangeburg.
Overall it was a great week at the beach. Now its time to wash clothes and get back to normal life again......

Week Number 21(?) of my Weight Watchers Journey
Today was a great weigh-in. I got on that scale and with confidence I said “Did I Gain??” With two birthday parties this weekend I was going insane. Instead of hearing a Yes, I heard No you lost 2.8!!!!!That is right, my new total is 49.2 pounds!!! So close to my fifty pound goal. I am going to keep going and going. Once I meet the 50 pound goal, a new one will be set. At church Sunday I was reminded that I had lost a small child. :O) So many compliments from people makes me smile.
If you can dream it, you can achieve it!!

Celebrating with Family
We were in Lugoff this weekend for some fun with the family. On Friday Rob and I went to KFC and at for under 10 bucks!!! How awesome is that?? We had our little date and just talked about our day and our crazy lives at work. We do this every night. I love it b/c we get to talk about our day and give each other advice if needed. After supper Rob wanted to go to Wal-Mart but since I had been there twice already I was in for that at all. We headed on to mom and dad’s house to settle in for the night. We unpacked our stuff and put on our pj’s. Around 10pm we got a little visit from Miss Carli Marie. She had to see her Jill and I was so excited to see her. She is growing up way to fast. She is going into the 2nd grade and she is almost as tall as I am—yes I know I am short but for a little girl that is tall!!! She talked to me about wrestling (which was on TV), playing super Mario brothers, and wanting me to spend the night one day. I love that she looks at me as one of her friends. She is so precious to me and I am so glad that we have such an amazing bond. Love her! After visiting for a while Carli went home and we went to bed. Tomorrow would be a big day for us and a busy one.
On Saturday, Rob and I had planned to head off to Sandhills to get some birthday shopping completed, spend some time together, and just walk around. We parked and Rob went to Lids and I went to Icing to look at sunglasses, yes I still have to have ten pair at a time :O). I got some cool new shades and cannot wait to sport them at the beach. Rob met me in Icing and he liked my new shades too. We then walked down to Big Thursday and picked out a shirt for Britt’s 29th Surprise B-day present. We found a Guy Harvey shirt that had SC Gamecocks on it…checked that off our list. Rob bought me a new shirt too---a browning shirt that is black with the browning symbol in pink :O). We then went to GameStop and looked at what is coming out soon and what they had in the store. After GameStop we went to the Peanut Man store and if you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a store with lots of old timey candy, chocolate covered EVERYTHING, and just smells heavenly. We decided we were going to try the chocolate covered potato chips. We got one each and Rob got a candy apple---he loves these things. We decided to go ahead and enjoy our treat and then have lunch. We took a bit and it was so good—the perfect amount of chocolate, saltiness, and crunch-YUM!!! We then walked down to Lane Bryant and I got a new pair of shorts. After Lane Bryant we walked to Red-Bowl and enjoyed our soup and sushi combo. Rob tried the Hot and Sour soup and he now has a new favorite soup. I had egg drop soup. We both had crunch rolls of course :O). After Red-Bowl we headed home. I wrapped presents for Monk and Britts birthday parties. We headed on over to Allison and Britts house and got ready to surprise him. He arrived and had no clue what was going on. He was shocked that Allison pulled it off without him knowing anything. He got lots of new clothes and a Remington gun he had been wanting. Allison had kept it hid from him a well—she did an awesome job! We enjoyed some brats, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, baked beans, slaw, cake, and ice cream. Rob manned the grill and the food was awesome. His mom came from MB and his brother and sister in law came from Georgia to surprise him. After Britts party we headed over to the Lugoff Swim Club to celebrate Monks (Ethan) third birthday. He loves monster trucks so his cake was a monster truck. We gave him one for his b-day present and he played with it the entire time. We swam and had some fun in the pool. Carli was there to so we got to play some too. Rob jumped in the deep end about ten times---he loves doing this too!! Overall our day was awesome. We had some us time, got to spend time with family, and enjoyed the day.
Sunday was our normal Sunday at the Moaks house. We got up and headed to church. After church we went to eat at G-ma and Bubbas house. We had lots of food and it was delicious. I love spending time with my family. Since we live in another county, each moment I get with them is cherished.

My NEW Guilty Pleasures....
So through my journey with WW, I have found some new snacks and also restaurant foods that I am loving. Here is a list just in case you want to try some on your own...
- Special K Cracker Crisps Sour Cream and Onion Flavored--these taste great and your hands are not greasy after you have enjoyed them....plus one serving is 27 chips!! That is a ton!!!---Rob enjoys these as well as the Sea Salt flavor.
- Special K Fruit Crisps Strawberry Flavored--these tast like mini poptarts and are soooooooo yummy!!!
- Bojangles Roasted Chicken Bites---NOT the combo!!!! The bites are so good and there is a large portion in the serving they give you. They have a little spice to them but tons of protien and makes the belly very happy!
- PET Fudge Bars and Orange Creme Bars--if you are wanting something cold and choclately the fudge bars are just right to hit the spot. I have at least one every night!
- McDonalds Oatmeal BUT without the fruit-- I am not sure why I havent tried it with the fruit but I just like it plain--although it does have brown sugar in it so its not plain jane. Its great and so much better for you than a sausage biscuit---although they are yummy too!
- WATER.....LOL, i know this sounds silly as a snack but I keep bottled water in my office that is luke warm and it is so refreshing. I find myself drinkng more water and not snacking during the day....BTW if you think you are hungry during the day and you have already had your meal, drinking some water and I bet you were THIRSTY and not hungry!
More to come as I try more foods.....if you have any suggestions they are welcome!

Just Keep Swimming....
So I titled this weigh in Just Keep Swimming b/c that is how I am looking at losing weight. A Journey, not a diet. Last week we didnt have WW b/c of the holiday but i did my unofficial weigh in at mom and dads. I was down that week too, wahoo. So this weekend Rob and I decided to buy our own scale and went to Bed Bath and Beyond. We bought a Biggest Loser Scale and we are both excited to use it. Well of course we both weighed and that scale told me I had gained FIVE pounds!!! Of course this was on Saturday Night and I had just eaten a good meal and had a great day. So I told Rob the scale must be wrong and we need to take it back. Nevertheless, we didnt take it back but instead we needed to recalibrate it!!! So today when it was weigh in time I was apprehensive because of what our scale had said. I ate well all week, exercised, and kept track of my points---so i stepped on the scale and BAM I had lost 3.4 pounds!!!! So total I have now lost 46.4 pounds!!!! WAHOOOOO....only 3.6 more to go to my goal for the summer!!!! I cannot wait!! Also at this meeting Joanie, our leader, wanted someone to take a journal with them this week and write down everything. Well I got volunteered, so that is part of my assignment this week. Not only did I get another 5 pound STAR sticker but also my 5k charm!!! Fingers crossed for next week and then it will be time for the beach!! Oh boy that should be fun!! :O)
To brag on my hubby, he has also lost more than five pounds---not on WW.
Just keep losing, just keep losing!!
