I am so excited and cant wait to get to my goal. Its going to be a long road but I am doing this for our family and for our future children. I want to be healthy and this is the way to go. I am learning what portion sizes are appropriate and my way of cooking has changed. I love baking, grilling, and roasting. Its the best. I am Struggling...
Death....Time....Uncertainty....WHY?
Those words are some things that are haunting me right now. Some of you know, but others may not, that my G-ma is now in the end stages of cirrhosis of the liver. This is something that hit my g-ma really fast and hard in the past 8 months. She has very little function in her liver and also her kidneys. Not only is she going through this but she also fell and broke her hip last month and she is not able to walk right now. Her stomach fills with fluid because her kidneys are not functioning well and this is a great concern. She can only have this removed every so often and then it will get to the point where her organs will shut down because the protein in her body will be almost gone. Knowing all of this, I still pray for God to heal her. The drs told the family today that surgery was not an option and that she would be going home on Saturday. When she goes home she will have home health services and will be monitored.
I still do not know why it has to by my grandmother but I know that God has a plan for everything. I am trying to spend as much time with her as I can because I dont know how long she will be here with us on earth. I pray she will be here for months to come but God will determine that. I have been reminiscing this past week and the memories I have are wonderful.
Please continue to lift my family in your prayers as we are unsure what tomorrow holds. We are taking one day at a time and enjoying all the precious moments we can with Gma.
I love her so much!

Happy Valentines Day
So this year was a little different for Rob and I. We were in separate counties for this Valentines Day. Yes it was difficult because I wanted to spend the evening with my hubby but this year it wasn't possible. Even though we couldn't be together today, we did message each other all day long, talked on the phone, and I received the best bouquet ever!!!! FRUIT!!! Rob knows me well and he also knows I am trying to eat better. So chocolate was not what I needed this year....plus we have tons at our house from Christmas!!! Instead of Chocolate or Flowers--since they die so quickly--Rob got me FRUIT!! My favorite fruit too....strawberries, pineapple, and grapes. YUM!! He is the best hubby ever and I am so blessed to be his wife!!! Happy Valentines Day!!
Happy Love Day!!
Happy Love Day!!

Romans 12:9-18
During church this morning the message centered around this verse. Made me evaluate myself and the relationships I have....Enjoy!
Romans 12:9-18
Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Do not repay anyone evil with evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone's eyes. If possible, one your part, live at peace with everyone.
This morning my toes were stepped on but i realized that the above is what i need to strive to be.
Another thought from this morning at Cornerstone.....Do you have the aroma of Christ? If not then your not spending enough time is His house or with him!!!
Be who you are...

She writes her list out everyday and on each line there are at least two items each, and at times there are items just written randomly at the top and bottom of the spiral bound college rule piece of paper. She lives alone, cannot drive, and has no family in the area who can help her with this. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet and loves her cats. So I decided to share one of her grocery lists with you....here is goes:

Phone Call
So last night, my carli bear called me and rob to tell us something that she was so very excited about. She called us to tell us that she had gotten SAVED. For those who don't know what that means, she accepted Christ as her Savior. She admits she is a sinner, believes that Christ died for her sins and rose again, and commits to serve her LORD!!! AMEN, AMEN,AMEN. I love it. It gave me goose bumps to hear my little one say those words. I asked her what it meant and she said that she would go to heaven when she dies. Oh Praise God....my heart rejoices!!!!
She also wanted to tell Rob and I that she started karate. Now this makes me nervous because she is my precious little one and i don't want her having any bruise, black eyes, etc. She is very excited though and told me that she has a white belt. Then she asked me if i knew what a black belt meant and I didn't of course. She told me that if you have a black belt then you can be a teacher. Cant wait to see her in action!!!!
I love my Carli Marie!!!
