Another Weigh In Milestone

Its Monday, and that means its weigh-in time. I weigh in at noon on Mondays and this keeps me accountable on the weekends. This weekend was Easter so of course there were lots of temptations, cake, chocolate, etc. but I persevered through and didn't eat a chocolate covered peep or a piece of my bunny cake. I also made a pork tenderloin instead of a ham for Sunday and it was oh so yummy.

So back to the weigh-in. I arrived and my cousin, Carla, decided to join today. I was so excited to see her b/c the more people I know, the more I am held accountable. Well i went to the potty and then it was time to jump on the scale. I weighed in with Janelle this week and I was down 2.8 pounds!!!!!!! So that brings my total to 36 pounds!!! Which meant I got another 5 pounds gold star!!! WAHOOOOOOO!!!!

So this week my goal is to just keep going and see what the next week brings. I am determined to get this weight off and to be healthy. I cant wait to see what happens in the next few months....:O)

I am a loser!

From Small Pots to Big Pots......

Today was the day that Rob and I decided to transplant our tomato and bell pepper plants. They have both grown so much from sitting in the window sill so we figured we need to get bigger pots and put them in the backyard. So here are the plants for the last time on the window sill....

Bell Pepper Plants Tomato Plants

The three new pots are red, blue and green. The red and blue are for the tomato plants since they will be growing super tall. Mine is the green pot and technically I would need to have them plants separated but since we aren't in the country and don't have rows and rows I cant plant in then we are sticking to the one.

Rob had already bought some potting soil, so he separated the soil into the three pots. He didn't have a small shovel so the next best thing would be his hands. He did a good job of getting it in the pots and a little on the ground.

After Rob filled up out buckets it was time to transplant our small plants to the big pots. I dug small holes into my new green pot and put my plants in. Its a lot harder than you would think to pull those small plants out and put them in the new pot but we got it finished. I just hope they grow and grow more.

After both of us transplanting our lovely plants we put them up against the house where they will get lots of sunshine but also some shade.

So my fingers are crossed that our plants to make it and that we have lots of tomatoes and bell peppers through out the summer!!! I hope they make it!!!

Love having green thumbs....

Easter Bunny Cakes

Every year for Easter my mom and I bake a bunny cake to take to my g-ma and bubbas house for lunch on Sunday. This year, its a little different b/c Rob and I are married and are starting our own traditions. We decided to stay around Oburg this year and celebrate our Lords resurrection. So I decided to make two small bunnies instead of one big bunny for Rob and I. We bought a strawberry cake mix and white icing to make it--plus some food coloring.

I mixed all the ingredients together and put them in two 9 inch round cake pans. They baked for about thirty minutes.....

Once the cakes were done, I had to let them cool for at least fifteen minutes before I could get to work on them. So I waited.....

After waiting, they were finally cool enough for me to cut out the pieces I would need to make the two cakes. Rob had made me a template for the face (a circle of course) and then I free handed the ears. This was my result....

Not too bad for a first time. The hardest part was icing the cake. The crumbs on the edges were giving me such a hard time but I did manage to get them iced. Then it was time for eyes, a mouth, and to decorate the ears. Each time I would get more icing out some ended up on my hand so I am sure I licked off half of the container :O) Here is the finished product....

One cake for me and one for Rob. No we will share and the remaining cake will be sent to work with Rob on Monday!!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Dying Eggs with Abigail

This week I was in Lugoff b/c I was on call for work. Because I was on call I got to spend lots of time with my family. This of course gave me a reason to love on Miss Abigail too. Allison invited us all over to dye Easter eggs with miss priss and it was so much fun. Allison, Kaitlin and myself dyed the eggs and it made me feel like a little kid again. We were all laughing and just enjoying being with each other. Of course NeNe was loving on Miss Abigail while we were dying the eggs. Mom did however take some time to blow an egg for Kaitlin so that she could keep it and it would rot. Oh yes we got plenty of pics and here are a few of the ones from our wonderful family time together.....

Our finished products

I enjoyed being able to spend time with my family this week.

I <3 my family!

Weight Watchers Update

Its weigh in day and I was a little nervous to be honest with you. I had eaten pizza Saturday, ate at g-mas Sunday, and wasn’t able to track online like always due to no internet service. So I was hoping good decision making would pay off.

I got on the scale and she told me “you did really good”. At first I was thinking, great I lost a pound but then she told me I lost 3.2 pounds!!!!! WOWEE!!! I was so happy and I could barely stand it.

So now my total is 33.2 pounds gone!!!

What helped this week?:
*Tracking all the food I ate
*Exercising
*Eating my fruits all day long!!!
*Being positive!!!!

I love being a loser!

Mommy and Me

Today was a Mommy and daughter day. Mom and I haven’t spent a day alone in a while so it was time. Mom and I first went to dream dinners and made some meals to keep in our freezers for the month. It was so much fun and we got some great meals. After Dream Dinners we headed back towards Camden and stopped at Sandhills. LOVE that place, such a great assortment of shops and restaurants. So the ultimate goal of the day was to find me a dress. Rob has wanted to see me in one so I pretty much figured that if I get a new Easter dress then that would knock out two birds with one stone. Mom was starving when we got to Sandhills so we ate lunch. We ate at Brixx pizza and it was delicious. We had Roasted Chicken Caprese pizza. This place has not-your-normal pizzas and I wanted mom to try it. One the pizza was wood fire roasted chicken, tomato pesto, basil, homemade mozzarella, and roma tomatoes. My mouth is watering as I type it!!!! SOOOOO yummy!!!! After enjoying our pizza we headed to Belk. I had went online to find some dresses and even tried on a few at the Belk in Orangeburg. Well low and behold Belk had nothing in Sandhills for me. Big time sad face!!! But that did not stop me!! We headed on to Lane Bryant but first stopped to get some yogurt at YogenFruz….yumm-O!! This is a new yogurt place and its delicious. Mom wanted chocolate and she got her some! I had the vanilla with strawberries and blueberries mixed in—heaven!!! I recommend it to all!! After enjoying our yogurt we walked to LB. This is my fav store b/c they always have clothes that fit me---well almost always. I have lost a good 30 pounds now and love getting new clothes but at times the stores don’t have my new size in. We found a few tops and I was happy. Oh also earlier in the day we went to Cato and I got some really cute tops!! Other items I got were three pairs of shoes—all black of course, workout shorts, and lots of loving from my mommy!!!

Mom did spoil me today and I enjoyed every minute of our day together. No fighting, no fussing, and no getting on each other’s nerves. It really was the best day ever!!! Thanks mom for all you do and for spoiling me!!!

Love you mom!!
