Our Weekend in Lancaster :O)

So this weekend we stayed in Lancaster with Robs family. Gma Jo was in the hospital almost the entire weekend but she is now back at home and doing well. Robs mom, Barbara, takes care of her 24/7 and she is the most giving person i know. I love her so much :O)! So we go to LA on Friday and pretty much crashed in the bed. WE were a little tired because Rob had to work a little over and we didn't get to LA until about 8ish or so. Sleep is great. We sleep well, in separate beds, because we like to have space in the bed and the beds in the house a tiny bit smaller than the KING we have in Oburg. Nevertheless, the sleep i got was great.

Saturday--We both slept till about 9 o'clock and then chew, dog, decided to join me in the bed. Rob took many pics but i have not seen them yet to upload them to the blog. Chew loves to be rubbed so i did that for a while and then he sneezed in my ear--it has started to clear up well enough for me to hear :O) We got ready and then headed to the hospital to see Gma. We visited for a few minutes and then headed to the FISH CAMP:O) Oh it was sooooo yummy. Everyone needs to eat there at least once in their life. After we ate we walked to the care and Barbara realized she had locked the keys in the car. So we made some phone calls and Ms. Sara came and got us. W eventually got all the cars back the proper place. We visited a little more with Gma and then headed to Charlotte for ROH--wrestling for the elite, as rob puts it . It was a very good show and i was impressed. But of course to begin with, we arrived and went to our seats that were ziptied to others. I am not a small woman by any means so my but was not going to fit between my hubby and another man very comfortably. So Rob popped the ties for me and my butt was free :O) The show was excellent--although lots of the F-word that i did not appreciate. other than the language it was great. Watching this woman in front of me jump up every time a wrestler came out of the ring was hilarious. She was definitely out of place with her Coach purse and LV change purse. Anyway, after four hours of the show it was time to go home. We went to IHOP for supper and it was yummy. Of course we crashed again in to our beds when we got home.

this is the excitement that fish camp brings to me!!!

Sunday--
Today Gma Jo came home :O) We went to lunch at Jomars--home of the fat back buffet--and we ate until out bellies could contain no more. We visited a little while after eating and then headed back to Oburg....

I love my family :O)

Great Food and Good Friends :O)

Friday--
We had dinner with some great friends--the Thornburgs and McGannons. We went to Toyko, Japanese restaurant in Oburg. While we were at our table a gentlemen joins us and starts to have conversations with us. He tells us today is his birthday and that all his friends bailed on him. Gregg, our new friend, i think enjoyed out silly conversations. We laughed and ate till our hearts were content. Greg wanted to have a pic of his b-day gang so gladly obliged-- David made fun of my big grin in the pic but he is just jealous!!! :O) So towards the end of our dinner Crystal and I started getting a little antsy about our friend. He just kept sitting there....so we decided to leave. He left when we did too. So again Crystal and I are a little creeped out. He does leave and we talk for a while outside. I enjoy our outings and gathering because they are so fun. You are always laughing with this crew :O)

Saturday--
Hubby and I decided to have a day to ourselves. We went to the water park, slide down the slides, relaxed on the lazy river, and enjoyed each others company. A perfect day.

Sunday--
We went to church and saw the Thornburgs :O) I told Crystal she was stalking us. The afternoon we just relaxed some more....times like these are great because we can just talk and do nothing with each other.

I love my hubby :O)

my random pic of the day...

So of course everyday something gets in my way of getting to work on time. This morning it was a train. I have never seen a train on the two tracks that i go over going to work daily. But alas i guess at some point one had to come...here are the pics :O)

Happy Driving :O)

Play Date with the Catoe's

So last week when i was on call Emily invited me over for a Big Brother Play Date and Pizza. Emily and Bryan went to look at a potential house so they asked me to watch Rachel while they went. Of course i would do this :O) Rachel and I needed to have some bonding time since her Aunt Jill is slack and doesn't come around often. So Em and B left and it was just the two of us...well three if you count Moses--the cat. Rachel and I played on the floor for a while and she has this new toy named Sophia--a squeaky giraffe. Rachel loves this thing. Its too funny because she chews on it and it makes a squeaky noise. Ohh love it. She also wanted to play with moses so we made "nice pats" with moses. Here is some video of the lovin' she gave Sophia:

Rachel and I were playing and then she became annoyed...i really thing she was tired but we tried the bottle. She drank a little but then boredom kicked in again. She wanted to walk around...considering she doesn't know how it was up to me to make it happen. We walked around the living room, into her room, to the kitchen, and then stopped at the door so she could look outside. She loved it!!! Then again boredom kicked in so we went to the all powerful baby swing that makes all things in the world right!!! She sat in it and was perfectly content--note to all want to be moms or soon to be moms, swings are amazing!!!! E and B came back home and Rachels face just lit up when she saw them. The kind of love that this child has for her mom and dad is immeasurable.

We played a little more and then watched some Big Brother--we are addicts. Rachel of course zonked out way before it started. Here is another video of us playing....

Always make time for some fun:O)

This one is for the history books :O)

As i was driving into work this morning i looked at the mileage for Frannie--my car, yes it has a name--and realized we are inching close to 100,000 miles. That being said I was thinking about all the places we have been together. We have traveled many times to NC for work back in the day, to G-ville for visits with KCG and the gang, to see my hubby in Oburg, trip to ashville, and even our honey moon. Frannie has been all over the place. I wonder where we should go next...suggestions are being accepted :O)

So of course since, as my dad says, I take pictures of the most random things i took one of the mileage when it flipped. I also did a video--Emily fussed at me for doing this while driving but it was super safe--PROMISE!!!!

And for your viewing pleasure here is the video:

Happy trails to you!!
